The Women's Centre of Halton is proud to present "Strong Like A Girl". We’re inviting 60 girl dads to join us in talking to Halton Region about period parity. We want to show that as a community, we care about all of our girls, especially those who don’t have dads to protect them.
Every woman was once a girl. Many women and girls in and around Halton Region cannot afford to buy period products. Even more do not have access to the best products for their needs or a clean, safe place to store them. 60 girl dads will help us drive donations of period products and raise a minimum of $1000 each from March 1st to 30th 2026.
Join the campaign when you register and commit to raising a minimum of $1000.00 throughout Women's History Month in March. When you register, you will select a timeslot between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 21st February to join us at Oakville Place for the campaign prelaunch. If you own a business, be sure to include your logo to be listed as a community partner.
Show up at Oakville Place 10 minutes before your timeslot on Saturday 21st February. You will spin a wheel to select one of six challenges to be recorded. You will also be interviewed on video. We will post two videos per day to educate the community about Period Parity in celebration of Women's History Month, all month long in March, to our social media spaces. You will be tagged and added as a collaborator.
Connect with your community and invite everyone around you to donate cash through your dedicated Zeffy link and/or drop off period products at the Oakville Place mall. You’ve committed to a minimum of $1000 but there is no maximum.
On March 31st at 6:00pm, we will meet again at Stacked Smmmoked in Oakville Place mall to announce the total raised and celebrate you. Thanks to our community partners, we will give prizes for the following categories:
